[Hunan Daily] [Changsha] Twelve academicians gathered in Changsha to discuss China's green development management innovation and energy policies

News from Hunan Daily Client on Oct. 28 (journalist: Yu Rong; correspondent: Chao Jinwen) From Oct. 27 - 28, the 9th Academic Annual Conference of Chinese Energy and Management and the 12th Academic Seminar on Development and Utilization Strategy of Chinese Energy Resources was held in Changsha. Twelve academicians gathered in Changsha to discuss China's green development management innovation and energy policies.

The conference was co-sponsored by NSFC Department of Management Sciences, Chinese Society of Optimization, Overall Planning and Economical Mathematics Energy Economy and Management Research Branch, Central South University and HNUC. Eleven academicians of Chinese Academy of Engineering, including Hu Wenrui, He Jishan, Zheng Jingchen, Huang Weihe, Zhao Wenzhi, Jin Zhixin, Fan Guobin, Lu Chunfang, Liu He, Zou Caineng and Chen Xiaohong, and more than 500 experts and scholars from colleges and universities, as well as scientific research institutions such as Tsinghua University, Central South University and Nanjing University, etc. attended the conference. Hou Zengqian, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Deputy Director of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, delivered a speech at the conference. Chen Xiaohong, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and President of HNUC, served as the chairman of the conference.

At the conference, the participating experts and scholars carried out in-depth discussions on the topics of green energy development, oil and gas pipe network and energy Internet development, high speed wheel and rail technology, and coordinated operation and management of urban mass transit by combining with industry trends and academic frontiers. Among them, Academician He Jishan of Central South University, Academician Huang Weihe of PetroChina Company Limited, Academician Zou Caineng of Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration and Development, Academician Hu Wenrui of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Academician Zhao Wenzhi of Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration and Development, Academician Liu He of Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration and Development and Professor Gao Ziyou of Beijing Jiaotong University made theme reports entitled "Discussion on Green Energy in Contemporary China", "Discussion on the High Speed Wheel and Rail Technology", "Thinking on Energy Revolution and Mission", "Energy Realism", "Study and Judgment of Development Status of China's Natural Gas and Countermeasures and Suggestions", "Innovation-driven and Development of a New Operation Mode for Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction in Petroleum Industry" and "Coordinated Operation and Management of Urban Mass Transit Oriented to Energy Saving of System", respectively.

Chen Xiaohong, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and president of HNUC made a keynote speech entitled "Exploration and Practice of Intelligent Environment Protection in Green Smart City". She pointed out that the smart city has insufficient top-level designs and lacks standard leading at this stage, so the national and local planning should be formulated at different levels and technical means should be adopted to solve the sensitive data and sharing problems of private data to realize the transformation to green smart city by taking the technology as a breakthrough.

Lin Ming, Chief Engineer of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, made a theme report on "Exploration of Energy Conservation in Cross-sea Engineering" at the conference. He introduced the new concepts and technologies adopted by Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge in terms of emission reduction, green, environmental protection and low carbon. For example, the deep-inserted steel cylinders with large diameter were used to rapidly form artificial islands, which avoided large-scale excavation, replacement and foundation treatment, and realized the completion of the island in the current year. For the tunnel engineering, the longitude line is optimized and the "W-shaped" longitudinal slope is adopted to improve the efficiency of tunnel ventilation and smoke exhaust, improve the driving environment and reduce the fuel consumption of vehicles. He pointed out "There is a need of large initial investment in the advanced technologies and construction methods, as well as modern equipment, but it can reduce energy consumption, and benefits the environmental protection and sustainable development."
