After nearly 100 years of development, AACSB has become the authoritative standard of global management education, which is independent from the university qualification certification and is the most authoritative assessment to the quality of business schools. The AACSB business school accreditation process consists of five phases: membership application, pre-accreditation, initial accreditation and retention accreditation. In light of its authority, business schools around the world take its authorized accreditation as the key standard to measure their schooling performance. Only 761 business schools have been accredited by the AACSB, which is less than 5% of all business schools in the world.

AACSB's full name is The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, founded in 1916 in The United States. It was initiated by 17 business universities including Columbia University, Cornell University, Harvard  University, New York University, Northwestern University, University of California, Berkeley, University  of Chicago and other well-known universities. It is headquartered in Tampa, Florida. Since 1960, AACSB has become the most authoritative certification body in the management education industry, aiming to promote the improvement of admission standards, teaching staff and management level of the accredited or candidate schools.

AACSB membership is the prerequisite for applying for AACSB International Certification, which marks the gradual convergence of Business Administration School of HNUC with international standards in teaching, scientific research, teaching staff and other aspects, and also the first step for business administration school to obtain AACSB international certification.
