Acceptance and Review Meeting of Comprehensive Reform Pilot Project for University-level Professions was Held in Our University

On Jul. 13, in conference room 401 of the Second Office Building, our university accepted and reviewed the comprehensive reform pilot project of the six university-level professions established in 2015, including Science of Law, Finance, Accountancy, International Economics and Trades, Computer Science and Technology and Tourism Management.

Through looking up the supporting materials for relevant projects, and listening to the PPT report of the responsible person of professions, the members of the expert group reviewed according to the ten indexes, including undergraduate talent training programs, teaching staff, resource construction, teaching reform, practice teaching, student participation, education internationalization, teaching management, safeguard measures and effect of reform.

Experts fully affirmed that the sound reform foundation of professions and the obvious effect of reform. Meanwhile, six suggestions were put forward to the construction of undergraduate professions of our university: First, insisting on the problem orientation, promoting the construction of the professions, strengthening the publicity of the professions, and improving the attraction of the profession to students; Second, strengthening the radiation of the professions, further understanding the personalized needs of the students, centering the growth and success of students, and continuously improving the students' satisfaction to the professions; Third, improving the talent training programs according to the certification standards of national engineering education and the professional quality standards of the Ministry of Education. Further clarifying the corresponding relations between the graduation requirements of the professions and the certification standards of the profession, and focusing on the training of the capability of students to solve complex problems; Fourth, strengthening the international capacity building of the teaching staff, and introducing more teachers with the experience of international learning; Fifth, strengthening the investigation and study on the teaching effect of the bilingual courses, and constructing the all-English courses; Sixth, promoting the comprehensive reform construction of the professions according to the spirit requirements of "six excellences and one top" of the Ministry of Education.

The comprehensive reform pilot project of the university-level professions is an important constituent part of the Outline of "Three-year Action" for the undergraduate education and teaching of our university. In order to promote the construction of the first-class undergraduate professions and realize the strategic objectives of "Three Promotions" of our university, it is of great significance to timely accept and summarize, find the gap and foster strengths and circumvent weaknesses.
