Li Ge, Director of Personnel Office, Made a Keynote Report on 2018 Higher Education Hotspot Forum of Hunan Province

On Jun. 30, the Higher Education Hotspot Forum was held in Changsha Hunan Hotel under the sponsorship of Hunan Provincial Research Institute of Education, organized by Higher Education Research Institute of Hunan Provincial Research Institute of Education. The theme of this conference was "First-class Undergraduate Education". Ge Jianzhong, Deputy Director of Education Department of Hunan; Shi Dengming, President of Hunan Provincial Research Institute of Education; Ma Luting, Director of Strategy Development Department of Education Development Center of Ministry of Education; Prof. Shao Jin, Director of Office of Academic Affairs of Nanjing University, Yu Xiaobo of Hunan University, Prof. Chen Lizhang of Central South University and other experts attended this conference. Li Ge, Director of Personnel Office of our university, was invited to attend the conference and made the special report of "Thinking and Exploration of Reform of Teacher Assessment and Evaluation of Colleges and Universities".

In the report, Director Li Ge made a systematic description of the reform of teacher assessment and evaluation of our university from the following five aspects, namely, "thinking, strategy, experience, achievements, and advance". According to the basic requirements of "Teachers' ethic first, Teaching-centered, Scientific research as the basis, Development-oriented", and surrounding the basic task of "Strengthening the moral education and cultivating people", Hunan University of Commerce adheres to the direction of socialist education, insists on the principle of having both ability and political integrity, and evaluates the teachers according to their capabilities, actual performance and contributions, which lays a solid foundation for the reform of teacher assessment and evaluation. The Party Committee and Administrative Department of Hunan University of Commerce pays high attention to the assessment and evaluation work of teachers; Strengthen the top design, and improve the teachers' assessment and evaluation system; The teachers exert pressures on themselves, and actively innovate, preliminarily showing the energy of the talent team. Our university always puts the teachers' ethics evaluation in the first place of the teacher evaluation, highlights the education and teaching performance evaluation of teachers, improves the scientific research evaluation guidance, and pay attention to the professional development of the young teachers. The reform of teacher assessment and evaluation has promoted the scientific development of the colleges and universities, and its demonstration effect on the reform of the local undergraduate universities has been shown preliminarily.
