Professor Song Ze Lectured on the “Ten Practical Problems and Countermeasures of Comprehensively Deepening Reform”

On March 29 afternoon, Prof. Song Ze, doctoral tutor of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, expert receiving special allowance from the State Council, expert from the Ministry of Commerce, and the former vice president of China Logistics Society, reported on “Ten Practical Problems and Countermeasures of Comprehensively Deepening Reform” in F201 lecture hall of Lezhi Mansion. The academic report was chaired by Prof. Liu Siwei, dean of the School of Economics and Trade. Teachers and students of the School of Economics and Trade, School of Business Administration and Law School attended the lecture.

At the meeting, Prof. Song made a concise explanation of the "Eight Regulations and Six Bans" of the Party Central Committee. He believed that Party Central Committee’s strict control over the Party and crack down on corruption was a logical starting point for deepening reform. Prof. Song focused on the current practical problems and countermeasure of deepening reform in China. He said that a more profound and effective answer was needed to explain" the relationship between public ownership and market economy", and pointed out how state-owned enterprises should reform was also worthy discussing. Prof. Song also made a further discussion in terms of how to remove the institutional costs in comprehensive deepening reform, how to change the structural adjustment means in structural reform, the conditions and the truth which make the market play its role, etc. Prof. Liu Siwei spoke highly of Prof. Song's report, believing that his point of view was" high, deep, strong," and was a good inspiration to the teachers and students. At the end of the Lecture, Prof. Song also answered in detail the questions from the teachers and students in the meeting in the interactive section, and won the bursts of applause.
