The Intramural Trials of ”Henkee” Cup Marketing and Planning Contest Ended Successfully

On March 29 evening, the finals of intramural trials of "Henkee" Cup Marketing and Planning Contest which had lasted more than one month was held in the report hall of Lezhi Mansion of our university. Twelve excellent teams standing out of more than 300 young entrepreneurs from various schools of HNUC would compete with each other for the final selection here. The guests and judges who attended this marketing and planning contest included Xiao Jinsong, deputy secretary of the General Party Branch of Business Administration School, Yin Yuan Yuan, the teacher of marketing, and teachers of other fields.

This contest comprised of preliminary and final sections. After the fierce competition in the preliminary contest, twelve teams were qualified for the finals. The finals took the form of “six + five”, i.e. each team had six minutes to present their PPT, five minutes to debate. The deputy secretary Xiao Jinsong introduced the principle and nature of the contest, and also expressed that he was eagerly looking forward to it. Then the contest started. Each team stepped onto the stage according to the order, and finished 6-minuted PPT presentation, which explained to the audience the detailed marketing and planning programs for Henkee sports shoes.The program of each team had its own characteristics, showing their own thinking and creativity. The first team stepping onto the stage was “Up with Henkee”. They proposed building the image of the brand through three modules, i.e. “to youth, to journey, and to concerns”. The second team was “Act Together”. They proposed the theme of “Youngsters, run with your dream as the horse” through public welfare activities and creative advertisements. The third team “Advance with Henkee” comprised of freshmen. But they didn’t have stage fright, and their ability couldn’t be overlooked. The forth team “Six Doors” elaborated their ideas by three steps, i.e. cognition - familiarity – maintenance. The fifth team was “forerunner”, the content of whose program was divided into four themes, i.e. “Jumping, Devoting, Sinking and Seeking”. The sixth team “No. 1 team” integrated Henkee into adapted songs and created a funny video to attract others’ attention. The seventh team “Plan Eleven” was composed of several postgraduates, who proposed the innovative idea of cooperating with various APPs. The philosophy of the eighth team “Brilliance of Nice Shoes” was “simplicity, quality and life”, advocating pursuing the spirit of craftsmanship of Henkee. The ninth team was “Seize the Initiative with Henkee”. The theme of their program was “Just do it, Henkee will be with your dream”, and composed of seeking dreams (identify the market), pursuing dreams (prepare the strategy), and realizing dreams (support the mountain areas). it started with public good programs to make Henkee dreams. The tenth team “Rebirth” proposed holding campus marketing contest first and then influencing the whole country gradually. The eleventh team “Master-mind” started from small points. It elaborated its program with the corporate culture of “small but secure happiness”. The last team “get ahead with Henke” took “Up To You” as its theme and proposed creative ideas.

After careful assessment, the host declared the winner list, with “seize the initiative with Henkee”as the champion, “Rebirth” and “the No. 1 Team” at the second place, “Upper with Henkee”, “Mastermind”, and “Advance with Henkee”at the third place. While “forerunner”, “Brilliance of Nice Shoes” and “Act Together” received the winning prize.

At last, Teacher Tang Shenghui made a concluding speech. He affirmed that the various marketing programs were feasible in business to some extent, encouraged everyone, no matter he or she was the first or the last one in the contest, to take this competition as a process of study, wished everyone could learn something beyond textbooks in this process, and fully appreciated this contest.

At this point, the finals of intramural trials of "Henkee " Cup Marketing and Planning Contest came to an end. It is reported that the winning team will receive the qualification for semi-finals which will be launched on April 1 - April 3. (Yao Ting)
