HNUC’s 11th Finance Skills Relay Contest Successfully Concluded

The final of HNUC’s 11th Finance Skills Relay Contest was held as scheduled in the multi-functional lecture hall on May 5th. This contest received enormous support from the School of Accounting and Beijin College of HNUC and the School of Accounting of Hunan University of Finance and Economics. Zhu Kaixi, the dean of the School of Accounting of HNUC, Tan Zhihong, the deputy secretary of CPC General Branch and Liu Naxin, the dean of the School of Accounting of Hunan University of Finance and Economics were invited as distinguished guests, and Zhu Kaixi made an address. The judging panel for this contest comprises Chen Siqing, the deputy dean of the School of Accounting of HNUC, two teachers from the School of Accounting of HNUC (Tang Jian and Deng Jiao), Huang Jingang, the secretary of the School of Accounting of Hunan University of Finance and Economics, Dai Enxiang, the deputy secretary of the School of Accounting of Hunan University of Finance and Economics, and Xie Peijun, a teacher from the School of Accounting of Hunan University of Finance and Economics.

After the preliminary contests and the semi final, a total of nine teams entered the final match. During the final, they exhibited their teamwork and respective advantages. In the teamwork section, A team called “six plus” performed a unique scene play related to current hotspots. In the sections of banknote counting and accounting practice, the team titled “Rowing without Paddle” presented excellent performance, which won exclamations from audience, while Chaohui Team’s excellent performance in the section of Sudoku Q&A found favor among the judging panel. At last, the “Rowing without Paddle” and other 5 teams won the first, second and third places, and the “six plus” from Hunan University of Finance and Economics won the Best Popularity Award.

The judging panel made some comments following the match. Liu Naxin spoke highly of the contestants’ performance, and hoped that the exchange of finance skills would step up the cooperation between the two universities. Chen Siqing commented on the contestants’ performance from the professional perspective, celebrated their focus on current finance and economic hotspots, and expected the students to study harder in the future.
This contest demonstrated our university’s good mental outlook, and provided an opportunity for our students to become more enthusiastic about their majors, showcase their professional skills and put their theories into practice. It also helped ensure the smooth implementation by the School of Accounting of the “Successful Accountant” quality promotion program. (Yi Zhiyu, Dong Shuyi)
