President Chen Xiaohong led a delegation to visit three universitis in Australia and New Zealand

From Jan. 31 to Feb. 7, Chen Xiaohong (academician and president) led leaders from the Academic Affairs Office, the School of Business Administration, the International Exchange and Cooperation Department and the Big Data Research Institute and researchers (a group of 5 people) to visit Massey University in New Zealand, University of Canberra and Flinders University in Australia, who were warmly received. Massey University rose the national flag of the People’s Republic ofChinaon the day of the visit.

The delegation met with President Jan Thomas of Massey University

President Chen and her entourage deeply inspected the internationalization of teachers in the universities, international cooperation in scientific research, international talent training, integration of production and education, personnel training model of “double innovation”, AACSB certification, campus infrastructure and so on; signed two project cooperation agreements and reached cooperation intentions in the following areas: establishing 1 +1.5 CFA master double degree, 2+2 bachelor double degree, teacher interaction in logistics and other cooperation with Massey University; establishing management class 2+ 2/2.5+1.5 bachelor double degree, juris doctor, “double innovation” talent training, teacher research, etc. with Flinders University; and establishing 2+2 bachelor double degree, 3+1+X bachelor - master and other cooperation with University of Canberra. At the same time, President Chen and her delegation also extended their condolences to our students participating in the 3+1+1 project at University of Canberra and encouraged them to study hard.

The visit opened up new areas for international exchange and cooperation, built a new platform for cooperation and also enhanced the connotation of international exchange and cooperation in our university, which had effectively promoted the international exchange and cooperation of our university to a new level.

According to the British The Times 2010 World University Rankings, Massey  University ranks among the world’s top 200 universities with comprehensive academic research. The School of Business isNew Zealand's first school to receive certification from EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) and AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). Flinders University ranks 261st in the world and has entered the top 2% of the world's top universities, one of the eight highest research universities in Australia and a member of the Innovative Research Universities Australia. The University of Canberra has been voted as one of the top 150 universities in the world by the British The Times as one of the emerging universities in Australia, whose School of Management and Policy is Australia's academic and authoritative academy, and its media, cultural heritage management, environmental science, nursing, public administration and sports education are all in leading positions in Australia.
