Prof. Zhang Yu, Dean of Economics School of Renmin University of China Came to HNUC to Give Lectures

On the afternoon of April 1, Prof. Zhang Yu, dean of the University of Economics of Renmin University of China, and chief expert of political economics of central Marxism theory research and construction engineering, gave an academic report on " A Few Questions about the Political Economics of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics " in conference room 401 of the Second Office Building. Vice President Peng Jinqing and level-1 honorary Prof. Liu Siwei attended the lecture. In addition, teachers and students of School of Economics and Trade and theUniversityofMarxismalso attended it.

At the meeting, in conjunction with the General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech spirit of attaching great importance to Marxist political economics since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Prof. Zhang Yu focused on the issues such as the important role of Marxist political economics, political economics of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and learning and making good use of political economics. He pointed out that political economics embodies the world view and methodology of Marxism, and proves the basic views of scientific socialism: Two Must Be, and Two Never Be. Prof. Zhang also explained "how to apply political economics" by the concrete example of "middle income trap" with profound theories in simple words.
