Diarmuid Hegarty, President of Griffith University in Ireland, Paying an Exchange Visit to Our University

On the morning of October 13, Diarmuid Hegarty, president of Griffith University in Ireland, came to our university to pay an exchange visit. Li Dingjun, vice president of our university, met with visiting guests; directors of the International Exchange and Cooperation Service and the School of International Education participated in the meeting.

Vice president Li Dingjun expressed a warm welcome to the arrival of President Diarmuid Hegarty and his companions, and spoke highly of the results achieved by the two sides. The educational cooperation programs in the accounting has experienced 10 years and the quality of cooperative schools has risen steadily. Vice president Li Dingjun hoped that the two sides would further promote the implementation of cooperative school-running projects and develop more internationally competitive students.

President Diarmuid Hegarty expressed his sincere gratitude to the warm-hearted reception of the Hunan University of Commerce and invited the leaders of our university and staff in relevant departments to pay a visit to Griffith University in the future. President Diarmuid Hegarty introduced that students who attended the cooperative school-running project in accounting could be exempted from the nine ACCA (the Association Of Chartered Certified Accountants) courses by studying in Griffith University, which laid a solid foundation for students to take the ACCA and engage in international accounting affairs.
