Students from Our University Winning the First Prize in the 2th National College Students’ Urban Management Competition

On September 22, the 2th National College Students’ Urban Management Final Competition was held in Shanghai. The competition was sponsored by the Urban Management Professional Committee of China Regional Science Association and the National Urban Management Professional Teaching Steering Committee, and organized by School of Social and Public Management of East China University of Science and Technology, which was aimed at promoting the development of the urban management in our country and building a national academic exchange platform.

It was reported that there were over 180 teams from more than 60 universities with the urban management major, including Beijing University, Renmin University of China, Zhejiang University and other famous universities, participating in the competition. On September 9, the experts of the National Urban Management Professional Teaching Steering Committee conducted a preliminary assessment at Peking University, and three entries submitted by School of Law and Public Administration of our university all entered the finals.

On September 22, on the scene of the finals of East China University of Science and Technology, the project team of “Research on Inheritance and Preservation of Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Process of Urbanization” represented by Zheng Peng and Long Weilin won the highest appreciation of the judges with excellent defense performance and ingenious performance, became one of the biggest highlights of this final and finally won the first prize. Dr. Long Pu won the honorary title of the excellent instructor; other two projects were awarded the second prizes and their total scores were among the top of the participating universities.
