Invited by four colleges in Thailand and Vietnam, a delegation consisting of Li Dingjun, the vice president of HNUC, the director of Graduate School and the director of International Exchange & Cooperation Office visited Huachiew Chalermprakiet University and Shinawatra University in Thailand and University of Home Affairs and Phuong Dong University in Vietnam from April 27th to May 4th.

During the visit, Li Dingjun introduced and advertised HNUC’s teaching characteristics and medium and long term development plans to his counterparts of the four universities, listened carefully to their introduction of their respective colleges and schools, and had an in-depth discussion with them, obtaining a comprehensive understanding of these universities’ construction in disciplines and majors, overseas study and international exchange & cooperation.

This visit led our university to a new space for cooperation. Belonging to countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative, the mentioned four universities are among the first batch of Asian colleges to establish a strategic partnership with HNUC. They all expressed their sincere willingness to establish a comprehensive cooperation partnership with us, and proposed some areas for constructive cooperation. For instance, they proposed a project to allow for mutual visit by teachers from both sides and teacher training. They also proposed to work with our university on developing 2+2 or 3+1 projects for undergraduates and setting up a project to send postgraduates for study at each other’s school.
