Brief introduction of the speaker:

       Zhao Shuming is currently a senior professor of humanities and social sciences at Nanjing University, honorary dean of business school and doctoral supervisor, an academic leader in business management of National Key Disciplines and enjoys special government allowances of the State Council. He has been selected into the national “One Million Talents Project” (the first and second levels), the “Cross-Century Excellent Talents Training Plan” of the Ministry of Education, the chief scientist of the “333 Project” in Jiangsu Province, and a famous social science expert in Jiangsu Province. Professor Zhao Shuming is a member of the Science and Technology Committee of the Ministry of Education, the Review Committee of National Natural Science Foundation of China and other institutions. He is also the chairman of the Asia Pacific Human Resources Research Association, a member of the Human Resources Development Committee of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government, the president of the Jiangsu Human Resources Association, the academic advisor of Enterprise Management Confederation and CEN International Education Network, and the vice president of the Entrepreneurs Association of Jiangsu Province. In 2002, he was rated HR Person of the Year by Fortune and Wisdom China. In May 2006, Seton Hill University in the United States awarded him an honorary doctorate in humanities-business administration. Zhao Shuming was the only one in Asia at that time. He Won more than ten teaching and research awards from the State Council, the Ministry of Education, Jiangsu Provincial Government and Nanjing University. Zhao Shuming was a part-time professor at eight business schools, including the University of Hawaii, the University of Toronto and Missouri State University, and he is currently a part-time professor at the Marshall School of Business of University of Southern California in USA , and he also is an independent director of three major companies, including Canadian MFC Bancorp Ltd and Jiangsu Suhao International Group Co., Ltd. Zhao Shuming has presided over 18 national-level scientific research projects such as major and key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation and other projects, and has published more than 20 works such as “Research on Human Resources Management”, “Human Resources Management in Multinational Corporations” and “Strategic Management of Human Resources in Chinese Enterprises”. Zhao Shuming has published more than 180 research papers independently or jointly. He is also the editor-in-chief of “International Journal of Cross-Cultural Management”, and member of editorial board of “Advances in Competitiveness Research”and “Asia Pacific Journal of Human Resources”.
