Introduction of the Speaker:

Zeng Dajun, undergraduate from the Youth Class, Department of Economic Management and Systems Science and Department of Computer Science, University of Science and Technology of China, receiving his doctoral degree from the Business School / Robotics Institute, Carnegie Mellon University, USA, was appointed to the assistant professor and associate professor (a tenured staff), and named professor in School of Management, University of Arizona after graduation. In March 2007, he was elected into the “Hundred Talents Program” implemented by the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Currently, he is the researcher, doctoral supervisor in Institute of Automation of Chinese Academy of Sciences, deputy director of the National Key Laboratory of Complex Systems Management and Control, and director of Research Center for Internet Big Data and Security Informatics. Zeng Dajun is also one of the leading scholars at the international level in creating and promoting leading edge interdisciplinary subjects: “security informatics” and “infectious disease informatics”, has outstanding achievements in the area of big data and artificial intelligence technology and application, and has published 369 academic papers, being cited in SCI for about 2,000 times, in Google Scholar for about 10,000 times, also published an academic monograph. In 2015, he was elected as IEEE Fellow, and was selected into the “Ten Thousand Talents Plan” of the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the CPC, and in 2017, he was elected as AAAS Fellow. He is currently the chief editor of ACM TMIS, expert group member for the major research plan “Research on Big Data Driven Management and Decision” of National Natural Science Foundation of China. He used to be the president of IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Association (2016-2017), chairman of INFORMS Artificial Intelligence Branch (2006-2011), chief editor of IEEE Intelligent Systems (2013-2016), and has taken charge of a number of large-scale scientific research projects funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China (including National Outstanding Youth Science Fund and innovative research group of the Foundation, Ministry of Science and Technology, and NSF and NIH of America. His related research findings have been systematically applied to the state and social security, emergency management practices, and have achieved outstanding practical effects.
