Brief introduction of the speaker:

Professor in the School of Statistics, Renmin University of China; graduate from Mathematics and Mechanics Department of Peking University and University of North Carolina as PhD in Statistics; served as assessor in Department of Mathematics and Physics of National Natural Science Foundation of China, presided over 7 longitudinal scientific research projects; published many papers in four top journals JRSSB (Journal of the Royal Statistical Society, Series B and journal of the Royal Statistical Society) in statistics, and more than twenty books and teaching materials at home and abroad.

His research field includes: sequential analysis and optimal stopping times, regress diagnosis, model selection, Bayes statistics, nonparametric statistics, classification data analysis, longitudinal data analysis, partial least squares, structural equation model, time series, data mining and machine learning, etc. It is worth mentioning that he taught in University of California, Berkeley, & Davis, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill & at Charlotte, University of Michigan, Nankai University, Renmin University of China and Peking University previously. He was invited to teach a course at least in Sichuan University, Central University of Finance and Economics, Capital University of Economics and Business, Yunnan University of Finance and Economics, Xinjiang University of Finance & Economics, Tibet University, Harbin University of Science and Technology, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, Southwest Jiaotong University, Sun Yat-sen University and so on.
