Introduction of the speaker: Chen Qingquan (C. C. CHAN), expert in motor, electric drive and electric vehicle, CAE Academician, Royal Academy of Engineering Academician, Ukraine Academy of Engineering Academician, Hungarian Academy of Engineering honorary academician, HKAES Academician, IEEE Fellow, IET Fellow, HKIE Fellow and former president, honorary technology doctor of Loughborough University. Honorary chair professor and former dean of the Department of Electronic Engineering of Hong Kong University. Now, he is the dean of Institute for Sustainable Energy and the School of Information and Electrical Engineering of China University of Mining and Technology. He acted as the visiting professor of University of California, MIT, University of Cambridge, USTL, University of Tokyo, and the senior researcher of German Higher Institute of Sustainable Development. The founder and chairman on-duty of World Electric Vehicle Association. He was awarded with Prince Philip Medal from Royal Academy of Engineering, Guanghua Engineering Award from CAE, the Highest Honorary Gold Medal from HKIE, and the Outstanding Engineer Medal from World Engineer Association. He was rated as the best innovator by Asian News and honored as "Father of Electrical Vehicle in Asia" by Global View, and won the title of the "Father of Electrical Vehicle" in India. He has over 50 years of experience in teaching, scientific research and industry, and he acted as honorable or visiting professor of many famous domestic and overseas universities, government counselor, technology counselor of famous enterprises or independent director. He published more than 300 academic papers and 11 works, and possessed over 10 patents.
